Biggest Little Town Parade and Fireworks

Curtis likes to celebrate Independence Day in a big way. The parade and fireworks are always on the Sunday that is closest to the 4th of July. Thousands of people come every year to line the streets and celebrate. After the parade, head on down to the Erickson Center Grounds for more fun!

Wine and Cheese

This annual event is the largest fundraiser for the Erickson Center for the Arts. Featuring silent and live auctions, wine tasting booths, raffles, and more! This event is always on the fourth Saturday in July.

906 Festival

The first Saturday in August marks the Erickson Center for the Arts’ 906 Festival celebrating the Upper Peninsula. Featuring artists and organizations connected with the Upper Peninsula, food trucks, a beer and wine tent, live music, and photography contests.

Oktoberfest

The Curtis Chamber of Commerce puts on Oktoberfest every year. A celebration welcoming the cooler weather, foliage color change, friends, and family. Gather together to enjoy each other’s company and enjoy a brew under the beer tent.

Holiday Gala

Welcome in the Christmas and winter season by attending this Erickson Center for the Arts’ fundraising event. Enjoy appetizers and drinks while taking part in a silent auction. The silent auction is made up of numerous decor items, many of which are made by local artists, as well as gift items. Card raffles, mystery gifts, and door prizes are also available.

Kids Fish Coop

Taking place on Saturday of February’s Free Fishing Weekend, bring the kids for a day out on the ice. Kids of all ages will have the opportunity to fish in the well stocked fish coop and take part in many fun activities. Previous years have had a sledding hill, pinata, and more!

Craft Shows

The Curtis Chamber of Commerce hosts multiple craft shows throughout the year. Featuring local artists and crafters, these shows are always a great place to find handmade items and gifts!

Summer Music in the Park

Every Wednesday starting in June, enjoy free live music on the grounds of the Erickson Center for the Arts. The live bands take stage in the bandshell. Bring chairs, blankets, drinks, and snacks while you enjoy music and the company of others.
